The Marché aux Fleurs is a bright and calm oasis in the middle of the city. It dates back to 1808, and is located right off of the Cité metro stop, on Île de la Cité.
All of the stalls look like tiny greenhouses, and you purchase plants and supplies from actual gardeners.
It was much more of a nursery than a collection of flower shops. The emphasis being on gardening, and lawn care, with colors that were so vibrant in the sunshine!
However, there were other things offered as well:
Do you need old pieces of fencing?
Maybe some lanterns for your terrasse?
Some toy automobiles and bicycles?
I did. I picked out a really dusty looking one that I believe will look great in my closet, or in my kitchen. 🙂 I also got it for quite a bargain, once negotiated. Ah, market shopping. 🙂
No category, I just thought these were nice too. 🙂
